Here's the Japanese-to-English translation of Amazon via Google:

I can't translate the Sega site since its in a FLASH container.

Marc, are you familiar with this "interactive" concept? Has this been done
before? THANKS!

Dungeons' and Dragons (Wizards of the Coast aka Hasbro) has recently
produced a DVD "Interactive Movie" called "Scourge of Worlds."

If the UFO version is anything like the D&D version, it means that
during the movie there are some decision points that the viewer has to
decided what happens next.

Hope that helps.

I grew up in New Orleans. There was a small theme park called Ponchartrain Beach. During the 70's as a very young child of ten I went farely often because my Dad got free passes. One of the video games was called UFO Battle(I think). You would sit in a circular kiosk and spin around. There would be a sound like the UFO's on UFO. You would spin and fire lasers. When you got one , the sound effects would start again and you would have to spin again to target it again. Does anyone else remember this game?

Explanation - SEGA UFO interactive Movie out in Japan!

iszk <iszk@ns1.kisnet.or.jp>
In reply to this post by Marc Martin

Hi All

Yes, Sega of Japan now sells "Interactive DVD" of Gerry Anderson's
UFO.
The following is the explanation;

This DVD boldly edited existing film scenes from the original TV
program, and added totally different Japanese dialogues to the edited
film sequence.
Many of the voice artists are the original Japanese voice artists.

The scriptor - Mr. Sato - prepares 12 different outcomes according to
the decision-points at which the viewer makes decisions.

CAUTION:
This DVD is NTSC REGION 2 FORMAT, and all the dialogues and subtitles
are in Japanese, so those can't read Japanese can't enjoy it at all.

Hiroshi Ishizuka, Japan
