Thanx for the info, Marc! I suspect this also "happened" to the UFO-follow-up Space:1999.
I'm curious if both series were successful in the US or not? Altough I'm too young to say it definitely, I've read that in Germany UFO has been broadcasted around 9 p.m. and that it was a huge success altough 8 of 26 episodes were not synchronized to german including the very last episode "The Long Sleep". ??? I know the series from the rerun during the 1980ies on Austrian Television. Yes, I think Space:1999 followed the same pattern, although in my area we never got a first-run of season two. I don't think either series was particularly "successful" in the US. I watched them, but I watch all sorts of shows that get canceled pretty quickly (even these days!) MArc |
