SID-7 Japanese UFO Book

Hi all,

There is a Japanese UFO book for sale on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6996236898

I've heard of this book (I think it was produced by a Japanese
UFO fan club), but I've never seen/owned it. Anyone here have
it? Is it worth much?

Thanks,

Marc

SHADO
Well, with six days and eighteen hours left in the auction, THIS one is apparently "worth" $133 so far (ouch). What's your definition of "much"? Already too rich for my blood! : )

Jeff
P.S. Merry Christmas!

Hi, Marc. I purchased S.I.D.-7 in Tokyo in 1986. I think it's still in
the closet at my parents' house in Tokyo. I live in Los Angeles now.
I'll bring this when I visit Japan next time and tell you the details.
Please wait. It was produced by a Japanese UFO fan club called "Shado
Control Tokyo". This fan club was established in 1980 and closed in
1986. They issued 7 fan magazines and 11 newsletters during the 7 year
period. S.I.D.-7 is the final issue. It is a 152 page black and white
magazine. The front cover is color. It is written in Japanese. It was
published on November 24, 1986 in Tokyo. Included in the publication
are four paper fold models representing the Luna Module (scale 1/140),
Shado Mobile (scale 1/80), Sky-1 (scale 1/x), and Thunderbird-1 (scale
1/125). The original price was about US$5 and I think it's worth US$50.

"SID-7" is a very hard-to-get item even in Japan.
I reviewed a full volumes of their publications/activities on my
website "Mysterons' Workshop".
(I was not a member of SCT, but I could contact some of the founding
members of SCT.)

http://www.geocities.jp/mysterons_workshop/shado_control_tokyo.html

SID-7 includes:
Lunar Module blue prints,
4 UFO Japanese (TRANS)Scripts,
Episode Review - "CONFLICT",
UFO Japanese Mechandise List,
Paper-crafts & thier instruction sheets,
Scripts of Kazuko Komori's 2 minutes commments after the shows.

Publicly sold version of SID-7 deleted 4 pages from the original one.
I have the deleted 4 pages - Komori Kazuko's interviews with 5 people
in London (E.Bishop, M.Billington, W.Bentham, N.Barry, G.Drake),
and "Visits to Japanese translation Recording Studio".
They were zeroxed pages from commercially sold magazines.
These 4 pages were deleted maybe because they couldn't get the
copyrighter's permissions.
