Star Trek UFO

Christian J.-2

Hi!

I don't know if this one was already mentioned but I found it on
YouTube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GONeqPxh4d4&feature=related

"badwx" has this to say:
"In 1969, Barry Gray composed and recorded what is arguably the best
music ever written for the opening credits of a TV series; Gerry
Anderson's UFO. The series was as awesome as it was short (1 season).
I thought it might be cool to see what Star Trek TOS's opening might
look like using that music."

Interesting combination.
Well, enjoy it!

Dr. K. Kicker
Hey, I know this badwx guy. He looks like me, talks like me, we have
the same birthday...and oh yeah, we married the same woman.

I suppose you could even say he is me. Or is it I am him.

Anyway, thanks for posting this. I had a blast putting this together,
and Barry Gray's music just seemed to fit it perfectly. I love the
original Star Trek TOS theme, but this match up just seemed to have
potential.

I hope y'all like it.

Thank you very much. Thanks to everyone. It means a lot that UFO
fans like this as much as Star Trek fans appear to.

When I put it together I had no intention of doing any "nods" to the
UFO open. But, I just couldn't resist the Kirk/Spock jump at the same
point in the music where the Moonbase Interceptor pilots jump into the
launch chute. And then of course, the very end with the explosion.

Barry Gray was a genius. The tempo and arrangement of that music just
screams "TV show open". They just don't make like that anymore.

Oh, this is great, really great! Much better than the original ST intro!
It introduces the characters and promises action.
