Hi,
Fear not lonely U.S. fan for you are not alone! I am Joyce and I am in Tallahassee FL. I have only seen the first three episodes of UFO (hubby was the fan that introduced me to UFO) but I am 'hooked on UFO', so much so that I even made a Moonbase tracker costume to wear to DragonCon last year - you can see a picture of the costume which resides in my collection of 'most treasured costumed all of my own making' at http://www.perlgurl.net/aboutme/costuming/ :) Now, if I could just find the time to finish watching all the episodes! ~ Joyce |

I must be an old coot, I remember watching the series in 1972-3 in its first run, 6 episodes in sept. 1978 (why was it pulled from syndication?), on the Sci-Fi channel in '97, and am the proud owner of the megaset. UFO was my first exposure to science fiction. I know of one other fan from PA, besides myself. my brother is also a fan. Enjoy!! William --------------------------------- Yahoo! Wow! I had no idea there were so many american fans of Gerry Anderson's shows! Stupid me. Since it led the rateings in New York and L.A. I shouldn't be so suprised. Let me rephrase my message that inspired a dozen others. I'm the only Virginia fan and beyond a S.H.A.D.O. of a doubt (hee-hee) the only fan who's never actually seen any of the show. I saw Thunderbirds on TechTV a few years back before they changed the channel's name to G4TechTV. Then I researched it on the net and discovered the producer was called Gerry Anderson and that he had produced other shows. I made the mistake of thinking there were only four. Little did I know that there were just under twenty. Big mistake! Ben |
I remember the show "Stingray" with the puppets that looked like people. Even my sci fi hating sister liked it. I started watching UFO at 3am in New Orleans. My mom caught me a few times and I was in big trouble for a 8 year old. LOL. Then when I was 12 Space 1999 came on the air. It wasn't until I was in my late teens when I made the connection between all his shows. I wished I had paid more attention to Space Precint.
