The Patriot

As we approach the 50th anniversary of UFO, one dedicated and enthusiastic fan has gone to the trouble of adapting Leo Eaton's unmade episode, 'The Patriot', into comic book form.  I haven't seen it yet, but it is now available and looks intriguing.  I gather it is available in both Italian and English language editions.  Maybe someone here will be getting it as a Christmas present?  If so, please let us know what you think.

Does anyone know if this new THE PATRIOT comic book is on paper, or just an electronic file?

I was wondering do you know why the Patriot script was not made into an episode?  Was it deemed to be not suitable as an episode or was it intended to be made as a possible season-2 episode?

I asked the person who wrote that script about that, and he didn't know why it wasn't made.  He got fired from the show for another reason mid/early in the series, and possibly with him no longer there, the script got forgotten?

Thanks for your reply. I suppose the firing of the script writer could be the main reason why the episode was not made. Is the script for the Patriot available on any of the UFO websites?

Thanks for providing the link to the Patriot script.  And thank you for your excellent work on transcribing the other scripts of the UFO episodes.  I have read some of the scripts so far. I particularly liked the script for the 'Long Sleep'. It was a lot better than the filmed episode (I thought the idea of Straker falling in love with the girl had more emotional impact than the father/daughter relationship that appeared in the filmed episode).
I also enjoyed the original script for 'Identified' (but I thought the filmed episode was better with the action sequence in the beginning where Carlin's sister is kidnapped etc).  I am looking forward to reading the rest of the scripts. I intend to read the script after I watch each episode on DVD :)
