One thing I could never understand in this
episode: Why did Straker not use the
"normal" SHADOO shuttle to repair SID, but
use a NASA shuttle instead?

        Straker And Co Used A Nasa Shuttle To Launch S.I.D And Used Nasa Again Because Shado Did Not Want The Aliens To Know Shado Own S.I.D,I Have Just Downloaded Blueprints for Strakers Car And Paul Fosters And A Shado Mobile.I Have A Chassis For Build On Wih A Diesel Engine

I thought the Aliens knew SID was part of SHADO because they attacked it inthe first place, knowing Collins was the expert who'd be called upon to repair it, and ensuring he would take Straker with him into orbit.

Maybe they used the NASA shuttle for some fuel-related reason... otherwise it's just a chance to use some footage from Doppelganger!
Not an easy one to explain, I'd say it was probably an error.

Perhaps the Shadow shuttle wasn't set up for EVA's??
