The latest issue of 'TV Zone' magazine (#163) in the UK includes the
results of a survey of readers' favourite 100 cult TV shows. The list
includes comedies, soaps and dramas as well as sci-fi. Numbers 100 to
11 are shown in this issue.
Is 'U.F.O.' there ? Yes - at # 19 ! (Well ahead of such other
Anderson producutions as 'Thunderbirds' at 44 and 'Space: 1999' at
41).
The magazine also includes a review of Chris Bentley's book 'The
Complete Gerry Anderson', and info. on the forthcoming 'Thunderbirds'
film, including this from Gerry Anderson; "Because of my friendship
with Jonathan Frakes and discussions with Universal, I'm becoming
more and more involved with the picture, although I have to make it
clear that it is Jonathan Frakes' picture and I wouldn't dream of
poking my nose in or making suggestions that might throw him... I am
currently in discussion with Universal about what my role on the
movie will actually be, but everything seems very positive at the
moment."
