Anyone know where I can find these for a SAMSUNG-Sprint phone?
Having Lt. Ellis say "You've got voicemail" would be great too. Thanks; Matt |
In iTunes you can take 30 secs of the UFO theme tune and convert it to
m4r that then works as a ringtune. Depending on the Sprint phone, it may not be easy. I upgraded from Sprint/Nextel to Sprint, a android phone. While my Sprint/Nextel phone could handle special ringtones, Sprint disabled that feature so they can charge me if I wanted to download any. The Android phone I have through Sprint (HTC Hero) allows me to use MP3 files as ringtones or notifications. I can do this for free now with my new phone.

I don't know if you can do this with Sprint, but Verizon which also uses CDMA, you can send an mp3 file in a text message and save the file as a ring tone.

I have the Blackberry with Sprint and I did 30sec of the UFO theme in itunes for my ringer. I've had this for over a year now, and it still gets comments! Although occasionally I switch between Space 1999 season one and two!

I've attempted to send a message to my phone (sending it PC to phone) with the sound bit attached, without success. Message never comes through.

I'm not sure which Samsung model you have. With the Blackberry I can attach a USB cable to the computer and the Blackberry appears on the desktop like an external drive. I simply drag the music file to the Blackberry and put it in the ringtone folder. Maybe you can try that.
