UFO DVDs Cont'd

womanfromuncle
Hello again all, and thanks for the welcome. I'm really looking forward to
seeing the DVDs. The prints of the show that an Atlanta station showed some
years back were not good. Was UFO *ever* released on video, aside from that
one tape with a couple of episodes edited together? I've been away from
fandom for awhile.

I read that Ed Bishop doesn't have a commentary on the US DVDs, is that
right? Argh!

~Cathy

There were 8 episode released on VHS back in 1988 in the USA
(I assume you're talking about the USA?). More episodes
were released on VHS, Beta, and Laserdisc in Japan, the UK,
Italy...

Cathy Conrad... that name sounds familiar... are you a fan fiction
writer, or participated in any fan publications?

No, that's wrong -- Ed does the commentary for SUB-SMASH. The packaging
says Gerry Anderson, but it's incorrect.

Yes it was - all 26 episodes were released on VHS in the UK. In
fact I'm fairly sure there were at least three separate releases.

Dunno, mate. But his commentary on the UK DVDs (for the episode
'Subsmash') is not that interesting in all honesty - very sparse,
and not a lot of insights or interesting anecdotes.

The packaging also refers to Derek Meddings as "David" Meddings. Way to
go, A$E
