UFO Episode Discussions -- SUB SMASH!

David - you are sooooooooo right about that *&%$#@! eps "Cat With Ten
Lives"!! I HATE it! Having been owned for most of my 43 yrs by felines, I
have naturally been brainwashed.......er.......I mean
indoctrinated.........uh.........convinced........that anything to do with
alien takeovers of cat brains is totally and completely *meow* ludicrous!

One thing that annoys me about that episode - and it's a
very minor nit-picky point, admittedly - is the way the alien
submachine-gun is used as an unconsciousness-inducing device,
being waved at the victim's head. Couldn't they have come up
with something different?

Denise - you brought up a really great point about the tilted set! Also,
remember that tiny little torpedo chamber Nina Barry tried to crawl through
- I get claustrophobia just thinking about it! There were alot of images
utilized which gave the viewers a sense of immediacy - as though we were
trapped on that sinking sub with the crew. I think sub stories have built in
angst because of the dangers involved. Pam
