UFO Episode Discussions -- THE CAT WITH TEN LIVES

Hi all,

Well, we've had 2 weeks to discuss the UFO episode THE SOUND OF SILENCE,
so now it's time to move onto our next episode, THE CAT WITH TEN LIVES.
According to the production order researched by Fanderson, this is the
first episode where Wanda Ventham joins the cast as a regular character.
And yet, I wonder about that... Wanda seems *very* comfortable with her
role in this episode, much more so than say, REFLECTIONS IN THE WATER.
Just based on Wanda's acting, I'd say that REFLECTIONS would have been
filmed before CAT, but I guess Fanderson has enough documentation (call
sheets, etc.) to prove otherwise...

Anyway, anyone have comments on this episode? I know it's a bit of a
"love it or hate it" episode, and I fall into the category of loving it!

When this Episode was first transmitted in the London area in 1971/1972? I
think. It was not screened until 11.15pm as it was considered not suitable
for the young.

Well, it has some good moments - I like the character of Regan and hey,
that fight with Foster was groovy, but the whole premise was pretty
stupid and the way they treated that beautiful cat was APPALLING! (You
can tell the cameraman is holding that cat out with one arm while
filming it with the camera in the other hand - ARGH!) I just can't get
past the way they treated the cat - it's my least favorite ep. No,
second least - Sound of Silence would be my least fave.
