UFO SFX footage available online

A visit to this site:

http://www.mrfootage.com/

and a search for UFO will show a number of effects shots from the
series. Much of this has been used on the various DVD releases - in
fact, this is probably where it came from - but you might spot a new
shot or angle.

ps - searching on MOON will bring up a number of shots from SPACE:

I tried this, but saw nothing from the series. Could you give
more specific instructions on what you did to find these clips?

Exactly WHERE did you enter a search for 'ufo'? I tried a couple different places at that site, and got ZILCH from the TV show. Guess I'm stupid.

Well, due to the way the website is constructed, it looks like your
first search has to be at this page:

http://www.mrfootage.com/?business_numb=1008&menu_numb=101

That evidently sets a cookie to say what library to search. Give
that a try!

Some of this raw footage I've never seen before...for example,
the model of Straker's car bouncing up and down while being
attacked by a UFO in TIMELASH. It's a shame that this didn't show
up as a special feature on any of the DVD releases... I wonder if
they knew of its existence?

Hi all,

I added a note about that UFO SFX footage to my "What's New" page:

Note that if you do a search on "4816" (not "UFO"), the clips are
larger, although there aren't as many. I found 3 reels, labelled
0056 & 1348 (from the "UFO" search), plus 4816.

Note that the description for some of these clips is "cheezy saucer". :-)

Also interesting is that the company this is from, "World Backgrounds",
is located in Borehamwood (near where UFO was filmed)
