The 'UFO Series Home Page' gets a mention in the UK magazine 'Web
user' (issue 22, 10-23 Jan). It is also linked from the magazine's webpage www.web-user.co.uk/magazine/pagebypage. Its centre-pages spread on 'Top 10 Gerry Anderson websites' says; '6 - UFO Series Home Page - http://ufo.simplenet.com - For many, the most endearing image of ancient (sic!) telly series UFO will be the gorgeous Lieutenant Ellis and her luscious head of purple hair shaped like a crash helmet. An excellent site for devotees, there's everything from scripts, to early pre-production sketches and recent news. But not nearly enough of Lieutenant Ellis.' Andy |

For those who do you could always put up the stuff I sent you, last year! For those who don't, taking yoga lessons to get their bodies out of knots might be in order ... :-) James K. |

Well, don't feel like I've singled you out in not uploading your contributions -- I've received contributions from dozens of people over the past several years, most of which I've never gotten around to putting on the site. I simply haven't had the time! I keep hoping that I'll have more time to work on the website in the future, but it seems the future never comes... :-( Marc |

I don't feel slighted Marc. I know last year was terrible for you and
Tracy. I was just gently reminding you<hint, hint> since some thought you have a bit too little coverage of some person on your site<g> James K. |

Dear Marc,
I must say, the site is very good - and I'm a bit of an internet connoiseur. You don't need to do too much to it. Most importantly, don't change the layout - it's great as it is. I'd personally love to see more video clips - but I presume there are limitations on that? The opening sequence clip is great! BTW, I used to have a subscription to UFO magazine (comic) when I was a kid - did you know about that? It's kind of primitive looking by today's standards, but functional. >I'd personally love to see more video clips - but I >presume there are limitations on that? The opening >sequence clip is great! Yes, the problem with the video clips is the amount of monthly traffic I'm allowed is limited, and these video clips are large & popular, and therefore take up much of my allowed bandwidth. Adding any more risks having the site yanked, so I just stick with the basics. >BTW, I used to have a subscription to UFO magazine >(comic) when I was a kid - did you know about that? No, I didn't know you had a subscription to a UFO comic! Or, are you asking if I knew about TV Action/ Countdown magazine? ;-) Marc |
Dear Marc,
Sorry - yes, you remind me that the name of the mag was "Countdown". I'd be happy to host the videos on my university site in the States (DC) if you like. I don't care what the Pope says... Thanks for the offer, but at this point I don't really have a problem, because I don't intend on adding more movie files to my website. If I ever got any time to work on the website, movie files would be so low on my priority list that I'd never get to them! However, if someone else wants to make some UFO movie files and send them to you so you could host them on your own web page, then I'd be happy to link to you! -- Marc Martin, [hidden email] |

It reflects the sensibility of the show and its characters... It is functional, sleek and no nonsense. The straightforward layout of the site is one of things I have always appreciated about it.
