UFO dictates fashion again

Hey all,

So, I've been in London the last few days and not 24 hours here, I
saw two different business types wearing Nehru jackets! They do look
cool! I also saw a female variant of the design the following day.
Does anyone know when this came back into style?

the two coolest looks in tv for men are Straker's jacket - and Patrick
McGoohan's Prisoner outfit.

It's a tough call for the best women's outfit on tv - the moonbase girls
uniform, the i dream of jeannie costume, emma peel's leather, or catwoman's
catsuit.

Anyone know where to get the Prisoner type jacket?

Seriously, not really. But perhaps if you checked some vintage clothings
stores you might find one similar.

Yes. In feminine wear, they came back last year. I know, because I almost
purchased a cream suit last spring. *grin* Once I tried it on, I changed
my mind. My figure's not that trim any more. But it looked wonderful on
the hanger! In menswear, I haven't seen them yet. Thanks for the heads up.
I'll keep my eye out for them. My husband would look so sexy in a Nehru
suit!

There was an article in Six of One's last issue advertising blazers for
their convention in Portmeirion. A shop somewhere along the Thames was
making them. Unfortunately although I have found the magazine, I can't find
the article. Must have been on a flyer or something. I'll post if I find
it. But you could ask Six of One. They have a website, and email address:

I've had a brown Nehru jacket, female version, with bronze Chinese dragons
on for a while now. I didn't realise they were in style. That never
usually bothers me.

Paul McCartney wore a Nehru outfit on his recent tour.

I've also seen glimpses of them in sundry British TV rpoductions recently.
