UFO film - the new Paul Foster?

Been thinking about what Denise said about a new actor to play Foster, and finally remembered the name of the bloke I was thinking of - what about somebody like Michael Shanks of Stargate SG1 fame, or the guy who plays Crichton in Farscape, whose name escapes me? [haven't watched it in a while.]

I like Mike Shanks (used to be on Stargate as Dr Daniel Johnson), but he
doesn't seem........well, physical enough for Paul Foster. What about
Richard Dean Anderson (who plays O'Neill on Stargate) - he's used to doing
his own stuntwork and his character on SG1 is pretty much an "action man" -
he just needs to grow his hair out some....Pam
