Hi all,
For those of you with connections to the Usenet and know how to use it, I see that someone recently uploaded MP3 files for one of the UFO bootleg soundtrack CD's in the newsgroup "alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.soundtracks". This appears to be the 2-disc version that shows up at sci-fi conventions from time to time. It has nothing in common with the Fanderson 2-disc soundtrack CD, which is a stereo remix, uses higher quality source material, and has music from different episodes on it. Also in that group is music from "Journey to the Far Side of the Sun", which hasn't been officially released anywhere that I know of... Marc |
Hello Marc.
I have dowloaded the 72 tracks (corrected rip) of UFO: Volume one CD, and they sound quite good, I'd say, even though the Fanderson CD is of course much better; my question is: does a Volume two CD exist, as far as you know? The 10 Doppelganger tracks sound nicely too, I'd say... ciao from Italy, Matteo Il giorno 25/feb/06, alle ore 02:29, [hidden email] ha scritto: > > Message: 1 > Date: Fri, 24 Feb 2006 17:25:35 -0800 > From: "Marc Martin" <[hidden email]> > Subject: UFO music on alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.soundtracks > > Hi all, > > For those of you with connections to the Usenet and know how to use > it, > I see that someone recently uploaded MP3 files for one of the UFO > bootleg soundtrack CD's in the newsgroup > "alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.soundtracks". Marc,
Unfortunately, the tracks from "Journey To The Far Side of the Sun" didn't come out complete on my news server. I don't suppose you could post them on your site, could you? Thanks! I'm not sure... there seem to be more UFO bootleg CD-Rs out there than I can keep track of! They all seem to be pretty similar though, as they're all (more or less) based off of the same source material. Marc |

You might try waiting a few days -- I had several of the UFO tracks that were incomplete yesterday that are now complete today... sometimes it takes a while for all the various parts to come through. But yes, if after that you are missing a track or two, I could post them somewhere on my site. Marc |

Oh wait, I see a volume 2 coming through on my server now. However, I'm only seeing bits & pieces of the UFO CD's, so I'm not sure if I'm going to get a complete copy of what's being posted there or not... Marc |
let's hope it comes through

Actually, it appears that he's posted FIVE discs: UFO Volume One UFO Volume Two UFO Original Television Soundtrack - Volume One (Disc 1) UFO Original Television Soundtrack - Volume One (Disc 2) UFO Original Television Soundtrack - Volume Two But before you get too excited, from the track listings there appears to be a lot of overlap between all these various discs. Unfortunately, the news server I use is pretty unreliable. Incomplete posts pretty much stay incomplete. Also unfortunately, I'm headed out of town and will likely lose my internet connection for several days. Thanks anyway! I love Barry Gray's music. I'll get it one of these days. FAB!
