UFO slash??? - - How about my "fan fiction" ideas

Hi Pam & all of you,

If I produced UFO2, I would "update" the concept in ways that would
get under the skin of many diehard fans to be sure. Naturally, I'm
realistic enough to know that nobody is going to hand me UFO. I have
my own concepts and plan to slowly develope them.

As I emailed you some time ago, I would keep Straker at the film
studio. He would retain his rank in Shado. As the show would be set
in the future, I would play around with the current paranoia that the
X-Files captures so well.

Drastic weather changes would plague England. The aliens would always
seem to be one step ahead of Shado. Straker's superiors at the UN
would hamper his every move. They'd accuse him of stealing Shado
funds to line his own pockets, instead of beefing up Shado when it
most needs it.

Straker really did take the money, but where did it go?

New security measures are forced upon Straker in the form of
unwelcome UN peacekeepers at all Earth Shado operations.

Still the aliens press on with their UFO landings. And where did that
money go? And is it true that the women on the moon are secretly
engaging in witchcraft? What are they up to?

How come the American's in space won't help with the battle against
the aliens, yet they've got time to zap fields from space to create
crop circles galore?

Basically, things go from bad to worse for Straker the first season.
Original cast members are few and far between. It's another mystery
as to where they might be.

Straker plays along with his bosses and stalls for time as the
pressure mounts. Will he break under the pressure?

The last episode of the first season has Straker regaining total
control of Shado bases on Earth by cleverly outwitting the security
personell, who are sent packing.

And where did the money and the old crowd go? That's revealed too. A
communication from Pluto base, now operational! Is that some kind of
engine on one of Pluto's moons? What kind of nuts would send a moon
hurtling toward space on a collision course with Earth?

Stay tuned for season two...

Anyway, that's my "fan fiction" concept for UFO2. Obviously,
television is a team effort, so if I met with the actual producers of
a new series, that is what I'd walk in the door with, if I had a
meeting tomorrow...

You mean the aliens control the weather and make it rain so much that so
they can land miles away from SHADO HQ and creep up on them underwater?
Hmmm.... the last fortnight could have been a trial run then! Prepare for
invasion!

<<<< Great! UFO, as it stands, is the best, but we all have to admit that it
was set in the future but with a "past" mentality. If UFO2 were to be
produced then we'd have to present it with a modern-day mentailiy, otherwise
it would never be accepted or taken seriously. There are a lot of things
which would have to be changed in a new series.

think this idea would be a perfect way of introducing it to today's audiences
and getting it accepted.

<<<< ???? This is a bit hard to swallow. Straker wouldn't be in charge in
the first place if they thought him capable of that. Why would they even
think him capable of doing that now, all of a sudden, after so many years in
charge?
