UFO star appearances on Turner Classic Movies

Hi all,

For those of you in America who get the "Turner Movie Classics"
channel, there are a few movies this month which features UFO guest
stars:

May 7 @ 3 AM PDT: "The Knack & How to Get It" (features Wanda Ventham)
May 29th @ 3:15 PDT: "Mosquito Squadron" (Vladek Sheybal, Suzanne Neve)

Also, if anyone's interested in Ed Bishop, they are also showing
"The Bedford Incident", "Rollerball",and "2001: A Space Odyssey"... ;-)

Oh My God! I've got to see that one. I have the soundtrack for it. It's by
John Barry, and it's a real swingin' mid sixties score. And I didn't know
Wanda was in it. So it's worth seing just for her!

I was wondering the same thing myself! I watched it on tape last month
and didn't notice Ed in it at all! Plus he's not listed in it in the IMDB
either!

Ahhhh, I see from the cast credits list, that his voice only was in
that. What was he, an announcer?

Yes, that's how I'm getting his pictures -- via e-mail! However, I
think he just bought it. You know how it is -- you buy your first
computer, and the first thing you do on it is do an Internet search
on "UFO"? ;-)

But just because someone is a fan of a show and they own a computer,
one cannot assume that they also want to subscribe to a discussion
group about that show...

I'll be taping "The Knack and How to Get it" tonight off of DSS Direct
TV. I have one Stereo VCR but if you can live with mono I'll be happy to
make dubs of it if you can't get the channel.

NTSC over here on Long Island btw. Also Juggernaut is on TCM which I've
seen parts of and it's pretty gripping!

As for ORDEAL - doesn't look I'm going to watch it again for discussion
<siiiiiiiiigh> But I recall the first time I had seen it - I hadn't read
any ep guide or anything, so the ending was a great surprise for me and
I thought it was a hoot. Sure, the whole "It's all a dream" has been
done to death recently, but back then, well, it was relatively fresh,
wasn't it? And let's face it, there is no other way to explain some of
what happens, is there? The way Ed and Alec behave - WAY out of
character - and how Paul conveniently survives the crash et cetera
...... And I LOVE that groovy party, man - that is the BEST! WooHoo!
Shake that groove thang, Paul <shaking booty> Errrr, yeah, anyway, three
words can sum up why this is one of MY favourite eps: SAUNA SCENE ......
