UFO to Space:1999

Hi all,

I emailed Sylvia Anderson a question about what she remembered about
the second series of UFO turning into Space:1999. Here is her reply:

With regard to your questions on UFO before it
'morphed' into Space 1999. It was true that we had
every intention of making a second series of UFO and a
certain amount of pre-production work had been done.
But, of course, we had the existing sets and designs
from series one, so the actual pre-production for the
proposed second series was not extensive. It did come
as quite a shock to us to be told that a second series
would not be forthcoming but we incorporated many of
our ideas into Space 1999. So all was not lost! I
think probably the most disappointed people of all
were the original cast of UFO.

I agree! I have a few episodes of Space:1999 and it doesn't even come
close to UFO. :-\ Sorry, Alphans.
