Yes, he can be seen at the end of ORDEAL, when Lt. Ellis is taking
off the Alien helmet from Paul Foster. He is one of the two people wearing a blue Interceptor pilot uniform. what changes would you like to see to the UFO saucer model ,
if and when a new movie is made? i would really like your opinions, as i build models all the time and UFO is one of my favorite subjects. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

I suppose people will be expecting something more modern-looking - sleeker, and a little flatter. But I'd hope the filmmakers steer away from making it *too* sleek and *too* flat, like everything else we've seen in the past 15 years or so. I'd still like it to generally resemble the saucers from the original series. But I definitely prefer a physical model - ANY model - to CGI. I appreciate all that CGI can do, but solid objects just look so much better. (I think I could live with a model that's enhanced with CGI, but I don't want to see any cartoon saucers.) I think the sound effect needs updating far more than the saucer's appearance does. I still think the original sound effect is neat, but there's room for improvement. ===== julie landry * [hidden email] --------------------------------------- If there's one thing I don't like being taught, it's a lesson! -- Homer Simpson |

i would agree on that, maybe blue glow, a hard shell instead of transparent, not as eggshaped on top, but definately keep the rotating plates, or as lights, and as a saucer with a higher dome on the topside. i would make the aliens less red, maybe burgundy, and with iron shades instead of silver, still with a green cycloptic fluid eye helmet, and maybe beam weapons on both sides along with SHADO having maybe some kind of missle that has a small blast radius, but is a compression bomb. even a emp combined with scatterbomb warheads.
i would also like to see moon base more underground, and all the SHADO vehicles streamlined but retaining the basic ideas of the show. i wouldnt mind even a complete restart, and also a complete restart TV series. but not straying from what the show was.
