So I'm going to be in London for a week in about a month and was
wondering if you folks can recommend any good second-hand cd stores or bookshops. I was hoping to time my visit with another Fanderson convention, but I haven't seen any information about an upcoming one on their website. I've been there before, so I know the big stores to check out (Forbidden Planet rocks!) Also, does anyone know if Pinewood Studios offers any kind of a tour? Thanks! Brian P.S. If this is too off topic for UFO discussions, feel free to just send a message to my email - [hidden email] |

More secondhand CD shops than you can shake a stick at. For bookshops, Charing Cross Road - between Trafalgar Circus and Tottenham Court Road. 'Murder One' is a very good second hand bookshop but there are a lot to visit on both sides of Charing Cross Road - you can't miss them. There are branches of Waterstones (for new books) all over the West End as well, the best is at Cambridge Circus, the junction of Charing Cross Road and Shaftesbury Avenue. > Also, does anyone know if Pinewood Studios offers any kind of a > tour? > I doubt it, though it would be very interesting at the moment since they are filming the live action Thunderbirds there. Hi, Brian,
> Also, does anyone know if Pinewood Studios offers any kind of a tour? The following is the comment in the FAQ section on the official Pinwood Studios web site: Q I would love to look around do you do tours? A Sorry, Pinewood is a busy studio providing facilities to UK and international productions. We are unable to allow visits for the public as they interrupt our customers' shooting schedules. I hope this information will be of your help. Kaoru [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

Try walking down the Charing Road. More 2nd hand bookshops than you can
throw a brick at!
