I just contacted co-creator Kyle Clark, and he said that he was quite
disappointed that UFO:1999 part 2 was not shown at last September's
SPACE:1999 convention *or* October's Fanderson convention. They really
rushed to get it done in time for the SPACE:1999 convention, and are
now in the process of "fixing up" both parts so that they work better.
They hope to be finished in the Spring. Kyle does not have
time to make copies of this video for fans, but when the time comes
I'll try to work with him and see if we can find some sort of solution
-- perhaps we'll have a volunteer either here or on the SPACE:1999
mailing list who will duplicate the tapes for the cost of materials
& postage?

I'll volunteer Harlington-Straker Sound to do it! I already have a copy
of UFO:1999 that Kyle traded me for a UFO soundtrack, so get his permission
and I'll do the copies!

Kyle's in the process of fixing up UFO:1999, so he won't want anyone
distributing the old version!

Sure I'd even be willing to throw in a few extra $$ for Kyle, and for
the duplicator's time as well. From what I have seen so far, it is
Fun-ny.

I volunteer!

I'd be happy to make dubs of Kyles tapes. I had sent him an email after the
NYC convention and really wanted to see this in NYC myself!

Marc, pass on to Kyle I'd also be happy to send him my MM 2000 convention
tapes that i did of that convention.

Also anyone on the UFO list, if you want copies of my home video coverage of
Main Mission 2000 check out this link which is also connected to my
convention photos.

Even though I didn't get to go to Century 21 like some lucky people! : -)
I was surprised that Fanderson decided not to show the video there.

Yeah, I have the old version too BUT Marc used to or may still have clips
from this on the web page. I noted that Marc made .mov files of the
funniest bits. The parts i didn't see, actually I could have lived without!
But when it was funny and good, it was REALLY funny and good IMO!

Especially Austin Powers/Alec Freeman AND the infamous microscope (The use
of Derek Wadsworth Year 2 music in that scene was a scream!)

They're working on it, but this is one of those things that seems
to be taking "forever".

It was a series of short spoof videos made by fans and shown at
Space:1999 conventions in the US. You can see some frame
captures on my "conventions" page:

http://ufoseries.com/conventions/

There were at least 2 of these made, and I think they may
be working on a third. The problem is that they were only
shown at conventions, so they need some wider form of
distribution. They've said that they want to make these
available on the Internet, but they've been saying that
for a while and they're still not available. Also, they
keep going back and tweaking the versions originally
shown, when I think they should have just left them
alone (I'd give the same advise to George Lucas!)
