Yahoo messing me about

docmed03

Until today I was in about twenty four discussion groups including
this one. Now Yahoo have cut it to just four with no reason at all.
Said groups were, like this, about TV shows and people on said shows,
and they've seen fit to delete them without even saying why. I've
sent them an e-mail wanting to know why, but in case they delete my
account for daring to complain about what I feel is high handed
arrogance, this may well be my last message to SHADO. I hope not,
but I don't know. Pity I couldn't ask Commander Straker to help out.

Well, if they delete this group, I'll just move it somewhere else,
and announce the location at ufoseries.com ...

As far as I know, there are only two ways for a group to disappear, the
owner deletes it, or because of inactivity, yahoo deletes it after sending
out a message to the list owner saying the list is in danger of being
deleted, which includes steps on how to avoid this.

If you think the group still exists, you can search for any groups that you
feel you are a member of when you log into the yahoo group home page.

Also worth mentioning. This sometimes happens to me, some of my groups
don't show up when I look at my group home page, but if I look later, they
are back to normal. so don't panic, they still might be there.

Since I posted that message I've looked around, and it doesn't seem as if your group has been deleted as such, it's just that when I go to groups.yahoo.com with the intention of accessing one of the groups I'm in, instead of the 24 or thereabouts that I'm in, now only four seem to be listed. It's as if yahoo have taken it upon themselves to delete them all, leaving me with just four, of which SHADO is one. Hopefully you won't have to reform under another name, as I quite like the idea of being a member of SHADO. It's just that when I try to contact yahoo there don't seem to be any adequate links.

It's in my nature to worry sometimes when things go wrong. It has happened in the past that the list of groups I'm in suddenly becomes a lot less, and I haven't dropped out of them, then next day they're back, but it's been a couple of days and I don't like it. I seem able to access the groups I'm in (that aren't listed) by a convoluted way, but it wastes time and I shouldn't have to do it. I hate being messed about in this way. Can I borrow Comander Straker's Molly?

Further to my reply to your message, I have just checked and it is as
you say, all the groups that I am in are now listed. I guess I did
panic a bit and worry a lot. It seems I'm still a member of SHADO
after all. The idea of being a member of SHADO appeals to me,
although I don't think I have the shape to wear one of those white
overalls with orange trim!

I would be lucky if i could fit in Sky One. The sub is out of the question because I am claustraphobic. Remember Ed Bishop and Michael Billings were in great shape. bsl
