It's quite a well-known place at the bottom end of Manhattan, Bruce .. also
referenced in a Joan Baez song, 'Diamonds And Rust'.

According to a web site, words "by Ballard MacDonald and music by James F.
Hanley, appeared in Ziegfeld's Midnight Frolic (1920). The usual singer was
Fanny Brice (portrayed by Barbra Streisand in the musical Funny Girl....."
