anyone paying attention to the current space shuttle mission to repair the
Hubble space telescope? They are worried about the danger of space junk to the astronauts. Plot line sounds familiar.. doesn't it? :) Bruce |
Given the recent collision between satellites - a very real danger.
Wouldn't take much to seriously endanger the crew. Maybe Straker's garbage patrol would have to be set up after all? Yeah. Even got a second shuttle on the pad ready to go if a rescue is needed. Pretty wild stuff. Familiar plotline? Nah, *cough* CONFLICT *cough* : )

I you think about it, what is more dangerous? A used Saturn 5 booster rocket, or a million pieces of a blown up Saturn 5 Rocket booster? :)

The small pieces that are hard to detect, harder to avoid. Hard to miss an
intact Saturn V booster, plenty of warning to take avoiding action. so, you tend to agree with me, thaty blowing them up was not the right thing to do?? We need the Enterprise to use its phasers and vaporize them :)
