I recall I wrote about particular favourite episodes when I did a top 5 fav but
knowone responded when I first joined several months ago. However, It would have to be Psychobombs. It has everything. I love Gray's superb spine tingling / suspense / dramatic and darkly background music. The plot, narrative and sets are great as is the truly explosive scenes of destruction. Foster becomes embroiled romanticly (again, great music) and serves as a lighter moment of beauty. I also attach great originality to the plot, writing and how all three seemingly normal / average members of the gen public are used as ultra killing machines harnessing the power of the universe. My favourite is Jane Merrow and how she "deals" with the traffic cop and her boss. In true UFO ending they just survive by the seat of their pants; Straker was not sure if the UFO had been destroyed, he takes a guess, Linda is used horribly as a human conduit to becoming a bomb, Foster is left in bits while Straker gets SHADO operational again paying no heed to the human loss and devastation.. brilliant! I always enjoy this episode; it is so circular and complete; I enjoy all the performances of the guest stars. Now, who wants to know the other top 4? You're thinking of Deborah Grant. Jane Merrow was in The Responsibility Seat (if memory serves). : )

just watched ''identified''. i am reminded that the aliens are getting transplants, and are from probably 7-15 light years away, if you accept that the alienauts are subjected to the green liquid breathing substance at launch. and if the speed of light, [sol] [12 million miles per minute aprox] does not exceed 8x12,ooo,ooo miles per minute.
thats not very far. and it isnt very fast, not even warp 4 according to star trek speed. but i seem to remember in one of the episodes that time doesnt act as a constant inside the ships. they also mentioned that the ufos enter the solar system at extreem speeds. slowing down so that they dont bounce off the atmosphere. so that lets off mars as being THE planet in the ending. also for some reason the aliens look quite alike, and almost asian resemblance. [ i know that actor was used many times for the aliens] i also noticed that in a lot of episodes, the the landed ufo gives off a green glow. a force field to stop the atmosphere from destroying the components of the ship? so a lot of my original questions were answered by reviewing the first episode. they also mentioned, [in 1968?] that ''official denial'' was prevelant and an obstacle to shado getting on its feet faster. that is a very strange prediction, especially in these times when disclosure is such an issue. i wonder ........ i know when i was a kid back then, denial was a big hoohaa and very looked down upon, just as much as believing in ufos was looked down upon. i dont kow what im gettting at, but i guess im trying to relate what they were using as facts in the show, to what is being presented as proof today of ufos. im very tired. lol. jim --- On Tue, 2/1/11, Jeffrey Nelson <[hidden email]> wrote: From: Jeffrey Nelson <[hidden email]> Subject: Re: [SHADO] desert island episode To: [hidden email] Date: Tuesday, February 1, 2011, 5:43 PM You're thinking of Deborah Grant.
