devastating news

Charlie & Lorraine-2
Charlie and I would like to express our sincere condolences to the
families of Ed Bishop and Michael Billington as well as to their fans
who are feeling the sadness and shock over the loss of these two great
men. We will continue to celebrate their lives and accomplishments. UFO
would not have been UFO without them and we would not have all been
united as fans. I am happy that I live in a time when the internet,
world travel and fans like Marc made it possible to meet Ed Bishop and
other UFO actors. May they rest in peace. In addition, may our memories
of them and the great show that they created keep UFO alive for
generations to come.

Is there anyone who can translate what is written on the isoshado
website page? www.isoshado.org

Hi All,

I have dreaded this day for years, but to lose Mike Billington as well is too
much.

I had the great pleasure to meet Ed Bishop a couple is times, although I didn't
ever meet Mike Billington. Really, really nice guys said by everyone I've ever
met.

Truly dreadful news. These guys are my all time heroes, from a very young age,
(UFO was and is a very important part of my life) and now they're both gone.

My heartfelt condolences to both their families, and all the fans out there who
feel just as sick as I do right now.

Best to all of you out there,

Griff

I had the great pleasure of meeting Ed too when I went
across the pond to the Fanderson con in 1996. I wish I
had known about the appearance both of them made at a
convention in Los Angeles, CA in 1994.

Although, I never met Michael Billington, I had a
great experience with a couple of email exchanges. My
first email to him was regarding the location of the
golf scene shot in "Destruction". I was in my office
which at that time was in San Ramon, California, and
not even a minute later he replied and answered the
questions. I didn't expect him to remember; I know I
wouldn't remember some of the software programs I
wrote 25 years ago if somebody asked me about them.
