Yes, the whole series is available on DVD in the USA,
UK, and France (with Italy and Japan soon to follow).
Go to this page for photos, frame captures, and links
to places which sell them online:

I have the A&E boxed sets. Four DVD's per box & 2 boxes.

The only critique I have is .... You cannot just PLAY the whole DVD
(Three episodes). You have to walk through their menus to play each
episode.

Picture quality is OK - Not exceptional.

You're the first person I've heard that's said that. I think the
majority opinion has been that the picture quality on the UFO DVD's
*is* exceptional. It certainly is with my television and DVD player!

Well ... I've gone and done it now.

This is why I really need to lurk for a few weeks before I go and
shoot my mouth off in a group I just joined.....

To explain - briefly - My assement is based upon viewing these DVD's
on a large screen Wega, with a capable DVD player. And *YES* I do
agree they are the best copies available anywhere.

I just wish they had the same resolution as some of the Publicity
photos that Marc is posting -- Great Stuff !!

BTW - I was 13 when these aired in my neck of the woods (during the
moon landings) and This series is *still* unmatched in it's ability
to connect with me....

Jim:

Nothing wrong with sharing an opinion. I find the DVDs have excellent picture
quality - the masters given to A&E by Carlton don't seem to have been touched
(by A&E) and it seems they've been properly converted to NTSC.

It's great to see these old series available on DVD.

As the resolution of DVD (NTSC) is only 720(W) x 480 (H) pixels, then
I would expect properly scanned stills to look better, plus the fact
you're dealing with variable amounts of mpeg compression anyway.

It's a shame that A&E didn't include the stills Marc!

Now a transfer in HD-TV, that would be something...
