I'd be very surprised if any new sfx could look better that Derek and the boys did it. I'm not a big model fanatic, but I do know what looks real and what looks like sfx. However, I will admit that they'd have to make it able to stand up to DVD quality, something the old boys could not prepare for. Not to mention the big screen. Who's doing superb model work these days? Straker, somehow it's always about you.

You are comfussing two different actresses. The one who played Carlin's
sister Lelia was played by Edwina Carroll, who mostly played exotic asians althought she was not, well not asian. She was in such movies as A Town Like Alice, The Road To Hong Kong, Genghis Khan. And oh yes she played the space stewardess on the Pan Am moon flight in a film I won't name for health reasons! The actress who played the head of Operation:Foster was Jean Marsh who played Rose in Upstairs Downstairs. Not the same actress at all. James K. Darn near real, except for a few scenes. (The water on Lake Geneva outside EarthDome looked more like the event horizon on Stargate SG-1 than it did an actual lake, for instance.) -- //Steve// Steve Silverwood, KB6OJS Fountain Valley, CA Email: [hidden email] Web: http://home.earthlink.net/~kb6ojs_steve |
