real amnesia drug

Charlie & Lorraine-2
Hi, I just ran across this article on a real amnesia drug. It is interesting, however, I am skeptical about the study with propranolol. It is a beta blocker and the results described as "fewer signs of stress such as a raised heart rate" were likely due to its effects on blood pressure and heart rate not due to memory loss.

In UFO, I don't recall them mentioning how far back in time the memories would be erased but this research is targeted towards erasing certain specific memories, not periods of time.

The link works if you copy and paste it.

I seem to recall it's 24 hours.

James,
I just watched Square Triangle and they say it's for 12 hours. But they may have said differently in another eppisode. The show didn't exactly have a 'bible'.
Yours,
Denise

I think there was a 'bible', or at keast I remember Marc mentioning
that. But if there was, certainly there are plenty of inconsistencies
in spite of it. Much like the Christian bible.

There certainly was something like a series bible, although it was
more like a series of interdepartmental memos. :-) These were transcribed
and published in an old issue of the Fanderson magazine. I would
certainly like for this to be included on my website, but I'd like
to get Fanderson's permission to do this... (or acquire copies
of the original memos from someone else)

I use a very efficient amnesia drug. Makes me forget what happened! Alec Freeman recommended it! Single scotch!

Doubles and triples are even more effective. Vodka martinis work
as well.

But if you drink vodka martinis don't you wake up thinking you are James Bond?

Thanks James and Denise. Seems I'll have to rewatch some episodes. I take propranolol so at least I have an excuse :)
