If anyone is interested and can get Sky Cinema on satellite or cable in the
UK, then they are showing 'The Bedford Incident'on friday 24th at 10 a.m. GMT. Ed's only in it for a few brief scenes, but it's a really good movie all the same. (Just watched my copy recorded on the first run last week!) Also on Friday on TCM in the UK there's a screening of Alfred the Great, which I think has Mike Billington in it, but it's on at 3 a.m.! I've seen BEDFORD a few times, which part does he play? I do like the bit in
the film by James "Dan-o" McArthur as the sonar/radar guy. Brian,
If you liked James MacArthur in the Bedford Incident, check him out as the Lieutenant in Battle of the Bulge. Tom Bryant Brian Lindstrand wrote: >I've seen BEDFORD a few times, which part does he play? I do like the bit in >the film by James "Dan-o" McArthur as the sonar/radar guy. |

Ed plays a guy called Lnt. Hacker, and just to show how sad I am, his first
scene, with few bits of dialogue, is about twenty minutes into the film. (I was checking the timer whilst running the video-capture) After that he's only sorta in the background, handing bits of paper to other officers! Hi.
I'm a newbie on this group and glad to see that there are many more UFO nutters. I used to watch UFO as a kid and thanks to Amazon.uk managed to pick up both box sets for £20.00 each. So now I can re-live my youth. I used to work at Pinewood Studios between 1980-87 and spoke to Derek Meddings many times, but until recently didn't know just how much of UFO was shot there. Now, if anyone knows where I can pick up the Konami series for a reasonable price, i'll be set. All the best. Rob |

Dear Rob - you LUCKY fella - speaking personally to the late great Derek
Meddings!!! Welcome to the group. I got my Konami Moonbase model from the Japanese company HobbyLink Japan. I also ordered a 12 inch UFO alien figure from Monsters in Motion, an American company, and was pleased with both. They also permit on-line ordering with credit cards and deliver fairly quickly. Moonbase out - Pam |

Konami doesn't make a moonbase model, that's Aoshima.
Hobbylink Japan has no more Konami UFO trading figures in stock and will not be getting anymore as far as they know. Just a short note to let everyone know that DDD is now shipping UFO
set 2, more than a week before the alleged release date of the 28th. Yippee!! (At least that's what they are saying in the email that I have just received from them). Now I just need to figure out what kind of special ceremony I must follow before watching every one of the episodes, some of which I have never seen at all, and some others I haven't seen in at least 30 years! The cards are out of production now. They were named "Konami Menko Studium" Cards officially. Hiroshi Ishizuka's MYSTERONS' WORKSHOP : http://www.geocities.co.jp/Playtown-Part/9963/index.html |

I just checked the order status at their site and it still hasn't shipped. The set, by the way, is number 16 on their top sellers list. It was one of the more interesting productions to work on. I helped build the sets and props and worked on the Dropship and the APC - which incidently was an old aircraft push out tug. Rob |
