Explaining your acronyms is rather like explaining a joke, and it does tendto underestimate the intelligence of other forum members. Oh, and by the way, the apostrophe was unnecessary.

I have to be really careful with my punctuation. I get Denise to beta read all my stories as I am rubbish - even though I teach English!
I wonder if, in the world of UFO set in 2020, (new film era) there will finally be one language ( English!)and either more logical spelling, or phonetic spelling.
That would have been an interesting development that the ANdersons never explored... Oh yes. and on Moonbase, why was the sign for Russian meals not written in Russian?

Have you ever tried using the spell checker feature in word perfect? I have mine set for English UK, because most of my fics are for English programs.

Hmm. Programmes for TV. Programs for computers.
Football booklets..'waste of money' (programmes actually)
That's one of the annoying things about English, it can't make up its (no apostrophe) mind.

Small world.  Football programs...uh...programmes, are a waste of money here in the US too.
I think American is somewhat easier to learn than English.  Here they are programs in all instances.  : )

It's "TV programme", but "Computer program". In the latter case we have
