...is anybody here selling any, such as the items from Konami?
I wonder if anybody would be interested in my list of B&W and color photos? Jim Main |

Note that eBay is a good source for old, rare items. Although you may have to check for months/years before something turns up, and then it may sell for more than you want to pay for it! For recent items, FAB Gear has a pretty nice selection: http://fabgearusa.com/ufo.html Marc |
Marc-well, I tried ebay first. I checked out Fab Gear
as well... If anyone's interested there is a copy of the Fanderson produced
double CD soundtrack for UFO up for auction. It's currently at £38.50 with just over 6 days left. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140094062898 --- In [hidden email], Jim Main <jmain44@...> wrote: > > Marc-well, I tried ebay first. Up to 49.16 now. Looks like a bidding war between 2 stooges, with 6 days left. Why people do that, I'll never understand. Dumb.

I'm not sure that you can consider that a bidding war, considering that those UFO soundtrack CDs tend to sell for a lot more than that... (it'll probably be closer to 100 pounds before its over) Marc |
Well, perhaps not exactly a bidding war (yet). But it is still foolish for folks to even be bidding 6 days before the end.

Hey, that auction for the UFO soundtrack CD is now up to 280 pounds (!), with 1 day left... I don't think I've ever seen one of these go for THAT much... and it's not over yet! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140094062898 Marc |

Hi all,
I've just added 3 new UFO photos to my "new photos" page (top row): http://ufoseries.com/newPhotos These were all taken from 8 x 10" prints... Narc |
Thanks Marc for the new photos. I have been a fan of UFO since the 70's.
I have been on your list for about 5yrs. I still watch the DVDs and still love the show. Was so sorry when it did not come back for another season. I enjoy the info that you provide. Except that I love my Fanderson UFO CD's set and I am so happy I got it in time. Hard to get something better in the whole wide world, and I can understand the prices... Back then (early 1990's), I thought that was as good as it ever was going to be for UFO on video. Who'd have thought that we'd ever be getting superb remastering for the DVD's, and now there are HDTV versions! (although it seems that nobody on this group has actually seen the HDTV versions) Marc |
Hi All :)
Hope this doesn't sound too weird, but as a technical illustrator, I spend A LOT of time sitting at my desk/workstations. I'm too busy to watch UFO whilst I'm working, so I've got all the episodes as MP3's and listen to them via iTunes/iPod. I've been watching/listening to UFO as long as I can remember - originally taped the audio off TV when I was a kid. Used to listen to UFO on my way back from work in the car - about 50 minutes drive - just long enough to hear a complete episode. Why do I mention all this? Well I used to have a stack of 60 minute cassettes (1 episode per side). Then I had a stack of 26 UFO audio CD's (1 episode per CD). Then, a DAT system that could hold a 'whapping' 4 episodes each. Then I went to a car audio system that could play MP3 CD's.... get the gist. Now I have all the episodes (26), and all the soundtrack music (everything) all on my cellphone (4GB card) which I can play via Bluetooth in my car, or just whereever, whenever I feel like it!!!! Technology sure moves fast... Straker would be impressed! Best to all :) Griff |

Not only did that auction end at 290 quid, but another has already
started. This new one finishes on the 24th. I hope common sense can prevail, if only because my limit is £50. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? Branko,
Everybody has their own level of 'crazy'. What is 'crazy' to me is not necessarily 'crazy' to someone else. My personal income level does not allow me to participate in what are to ME, high-buck auction prices. But more power to the folks that CAN afford to participate! Perhaps just a bit of envy on my part... : ) Jeff Branko Vekic <[hidden email]> wrote: >From: Jeffrey Nelson <[hidden email]> > >It's a crazy world... > > Jeff > >Marc Martin <[hidden email]> wrote: >Hey, that auction for the UFO soundtrack CD is now up to 280 pounds (!), >with >1 day left... > Hm, considering how much I payed (for now obsolete) Japanese UFO Laserdiscs, perhaps it's better to be quiet and not comment. I hate to rain on your parade, but the buy it now price is 275 GBP, and there is a reserve price also. The chances of the reserve being anywhere near50 GBP is about as good as the chances of me growing a full head of hair. But I suppose it doesn't hurt to dream... : )

One of these days Silva Screen is going to release their single disc UFO soundtrack, and then people will have something affordable they can buy. What this will do to the value of the two-disc Fanderson release, I don't know... Marc |
